We live in times of Big Data. There's more and more information available on any subject than ever before. That's why standard charts placed on tight scale grids are simply not enough. Data in itself is not a lead actor - it's function is to tell the story. Being a result of logical process they represent serious decision or social phenomena. That's why it is so important that they are presented in an understandable manner. Clarity of the message builds trust and helps making informed decisions.

Placing numbers and other data in endless tables can result in certain facts being overlooked or even ignored. Infographics allow us not only to notice them but also to create analitycal associations made easier thanks to the visual languague that boosts creativity.

Infographic is a storytelling of facts and numbers which makes it a great marketing tool. As we mentioned before, the purpose of the infographic is not to just present raw data but to make it understandable. What's more interesting? Bunch of numbers or visually attractive history, something like a comic book with data sets? Using this tool is meant to boost the effectiveness of your message and brand recognition. You're building your image as an expert, someone who knows the topic very well and can present it in an understandaple manner. This way you're also building trust and even more importantly sharing your knowledge - at the very start you're giving something for free. Users who see the infographic get the information which is shareable - this also implies viral potential, which in turn generates traffick on your website. Infographics can be animated, they can be put on a website or into an app. It's for is not constrained by any medium. Our whole world consists of information. It's only smart to shape them in a way so they are understandable and create a desired effect.
